Periodically over the last century the realm of the poem frequently mashed with other forms of art and this conjoining continues now in this century. From this infringement upon music and other art forms, poetry reinvents the form of itself. The space within poetry for this emergent type of poem has been evolving and developing. This type of poetry is neither an anomaly nor a phenomenon. It has claimed a substantial consideration in the present world of the poem.

Hamilton College presents the Forum for Image and Language in Motion (FILM) Sunday Series, Fall 2013. All events are free and the public is cordially invited. Events are presented in the Bradford Auditorium in the Kirner-Johnson building at 2:00 on Sunday afternoons (except when otherwise indicated).

F.I.L.M. Series: The Best of the Flaherty, 2009-2010

The Robert Flaherty Seminar, established 55 years ago by Francis Flaherty, the widow of Robert ("Nanook of the North", 1923), to honor his approach to filmmaking, has become a remarkable annual event that brings accomplished filmmakers together with teachers, students, programmers, distributors, librarians, scholars, and other makers, for a week-long immersion in (mostly) nonfiction cinema.
